Gags are used to muffle

speech or noise during

bdsm & bondage play.

No gag completely blocks

the ability to make sound.

Simple gags are made by

tying a scarf around the

head or by using sticky

tape.

Do not use cloth into the

mouth, because the cloth

will expand with saliva

and can choke a person.

The most common gag is

ball gag, which has a

rubber ball on a leather

strap or metal chain.

There are gags that use

a rubber horse bit.

These can be used for

pony girl play or as a

gag that allows a person

to bite down hard (a bit

gag might be used in

combination with spanking,

paddling, or whipping).

There are gags that

include a penis head,

usually made of leather

or rubber. Most gags have

a single chain or leather

strap that fastens at the

back of the head.

There are gags that are

designed to be locked into

place, as well as gags

with mutliple straps. Some

masks and hoods have

built in gags. Make sure

that the gags used do not

completely fill the mouth,

as this is a choking hazard.

A gag will always cause

saliva to flow, so make

sure that the person can

either swallow the saliva

or that the saliva can freely

flow down the face.

When attaching anything

around the neck, pressure

on the front of the neck

can lead to unconsciousness

quickly, as the carotid

arteries go right to the brain,

so be aware of these

dangers. Likewise be careful

with gags or things fixed in

the mouth, they restrict

breathing, they can also

trigger a gag reflex, which

could result in choking if the

wearer can't remove the gag

out.
